i found this site via g_reader - http://wigitize.com

to solve the problem of the native rss widget include with wordpress not linking to the sites directly, i employed the code generated by this site to power my "total.linkage" section on the sidebar to the right. 

using the "shared items" feed from g_reader, i now can place items of interest to my small audience in that feed as well as on the site that g_reader generates for the feed:
