is the close of this email just a fat-fingered missing ’s’ or the inclusion of a little cockiness?

as if to say, "Thank John" for this email.

long ago, before the war, ol’pardo used to answer his phone, "support, john" with an inflection that almost asked the called to support the person answering the call - not an offer of support to the person calling.

in the end, a missing ’s’ can irritate, annoy, and otherwise badger the recipient.  meaning is obfuscated, intent is masked by the changed tone, altered inflection, or innocent fat-fingers.

how often have you "accidentally" left off a word, or letter, to change a meaning?

so far so good with this new toy - the battery fits nicely with the incase bodyglove cover pardo uses:

the spring loaded usb charger is just a standard mini plug - nice for other uses as well so it will fit very well in "pardobag" - my version of the lauded "go-bag" (these are not just for emergencies - see the lifehacker article here.)

i will report back on battery life as soon as this little battery runs dry.
